About Woodford Open Gardens

Woodford gardens have been open for a couple of days on a bank holiday weekend every year since 2005.

2020 will be the first year that visitors won't be able to walk round and admire the superb and imaginative gardens that our villagers have created.

However we thought that it would be a great idea to have a 'virtual' Open Gardens photo gallery where people can enjoy the gardens from the safety of their own homes.   An added bonus is that the gardens can be 'open' anytime, come rain or shine, and not just for a couple of days in the summer.  People can enjoy watching the gardens as they burst into flower all the way through the spring, summer and autumn.

Our gardening supremo is Brian Mearns who has been coordinating the Open Gardens event for a few years since taking over from the first organiser David Knight.

If you would like some photographs of your garden included then please sent them to woodfordopengardens@gmail.com.

Also David H Woods is growing plants for people in Woodford to collect in return for a donation. Please put your donation in the box on the plant stall in Thrapston Road opposite the Surgery. Click here to or search Facebook for 'David's Growing Plants for the NHS' to see whats available.
